The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Product Designer, Platform, to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining and evolving the foundational design systems, tools, and infrastructure that underpin all of Boulevard’s product offerings.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for crafting scalable, elegant solutions, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to drive design strategy for complex platform components. You will champion a user-centered approach, ensuring consistency, usability, and innovation across our entire ecosystem, ultimately supporting a seamless and delightful client experience for our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design strategy and execution for core platform features, design systems, and foundational components that power Boulevard’s product suite.
• Architect and evolve scalable design patterns, guidelines, and libraries to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across all product experiences.
• Collaborate seamlessly with Product Management, Engineering, and other Design teams to translate complex technical and business requirements into intuitive and impactful design solutions.
• Drive comprehensive user research and usability testing to deeply understand user needs and rigorously validate design decisions for platform elements.
• Mentor and inspire junior designers, cultivating a culture of design excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
• Champion a user-centered design approach, advocating for platform designs that directly enhance and support a delightful client experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in product design, with a significant focus on platform design, B2B SaaS, or building and scaling design systems.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing your expertise in solving complex design challenges and delivering high-quality, scalable design solutions.
• Expert proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Profound understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex design decisions and their rationale effectively to diverse audiences.
• Proven experience with both qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies.
